with Francie Hartsog-Slaughter
Francie was born and raised near Beckley, West Virginia. She attended Marshall University from 1985-1990 and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in history. She completed her Master’s Degree in Counseling with specializations in both Marriage & Family Counseling & Community Mental Health in 1995.
Francie has spent the majority of her thirty year career in private practice, and was a clinical faculty member at West Virginia University from 2001-2006. She moved to Charlotte, NC in 2008 and opened Great Expectations Counseling Services in 2011. She retired from professional counseling in 2019 & loves working with her husband, Kevin, in real estate investing and freelance writing.

Francie & Kevin live in Statesville, North Carolina with their two dogs, Gypsy and Bella.
